To quote from an article on Mike from the Lancashire Life publication...

"Despite his success, Mike is very modest, preferring to stay in the background. He's not an artist you'll find demonstrating his skills at an exhibition or show, he prefers the seclusion of home and the studio."

Despite that genuine modesty, Mike has racked up a number of awards including Best Oil Painting by a Friend of the Society of Equestrian Artists and is now an Associate of the Society. He also won The Founders Award - Painting category in the 2007 Open Juried Exhibition of the American Academy of Equine Art where he sold his painting, 'Harvey and Friend' on the preview evening.
